Remember when there were tennis games like Virtua Tennis and Top Spin? Well Bigben and Breakpoint do, and they’ve announced Tennis World Tour, set to come to consoles and PC next year.
Mentioning Top Spin is actually rather appropriate as the team behind Tennis World Tour previously worked on that series. Pierre André, Game Designer on Tennis World Tour and Top Spin 4 Producer said, “For years we’ve wanted to create a new tennis game, a spiritual successor to Top Spin 4. Technical evolutions now mean we can create the ultra-realistic simulation that we’ve been dreaming of.”
They’re aiming for more of a simulation than an arcade game, with a range of playing styles and positioning and strategy on court all important to your success. Following in Top Spin’s steps, they’ll have more than 30 real world players including Roger Federer, Gaël Monfils, Angelique Kerber, Garbiñe Muguruza.
There’s little else to go on right now, without even key art or screenshots – that thumbnail we’re using? It’s from Top Spin 4. You can expect to see more of the game at Gamescom this year, though.

To the creators of topspin4 and the new tennis world tour.. i love topspin4 i still play it today with others who love tennis but there’s a big error that shouldn’t be aloud in the game. Before you serve in real tennis you get a 20 second time period which shows the player walking to the ball and going to serve. you guys made it so that the other player can rush your serve by pushing a button and skiping 20 seconds rest between serves… your opponent cheats knowing your player is tired and out of gas so they rush your serve to beat you because you player has no stamina.. please don’t allow players to control the game and rush another players serve we should get 20 seconds before each serve.. they also skip the cut scene of the rest period to sit down .. this game is mentally physical these kids and adults are pressing the option to skip that too making it their game and not both players game its very one sided in topspin4. A lot of people stopped playing topsin4 because of all the cheating and unsportsmanship in the game. When making your own character in the game a lot of people are using way to much power to win they are using 100% power making them super strong. women don’t serve 143 miles an hour in real life not many people can but in topspin 4 they cheat using so much power.. if that can be fixed also. if you make your own player there should be a limit to how much power can be used for your own created player. I’m sicking of losing to 12 year old boys who cant play the game but they win because they have 100 power!!
