Construction for Nintendo’s theme park, the aptly named Super Nintendo World, was rumoured to have begun last month and now that has been confirmed via an eagle-eyed Twitter user in Japan. In the images below, you’ll see familiar brick walls, piranha plants and warp pipes.
The theme parks, which will be based at Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal Resort in Orlando, Florida and are expected to open by 2020.
