A Lot Of Information About Assassin’s Creed Origins Has Leaked

This month’s Game Informer has the still-to-be-officially-announced Assassin’s Creed Origins on the cover and a shed load of information about the game. All the previous leaks are confirmed with you playing as Bayek, a sheriff type character in his thirties, with the play area spread across cities across Egypt including Alexandria and Memphis during the reign of Cleopatra. Eagle vision returns but is more subtle, and this time it does what it says on the tin, you are in control of an actual eagle called Senu.

The combat is hit-box driven and the NPC’s will no longer take turns to attack like the did in previous games. They also have day and night cycles so will go to sleep and have meals. There will be three upgrade paths, Seer, Warrior, Hunter, gladiatorial battles, underwater sections, tomb raiding, camel riding and fist fights. Apparently everything, including rocks and trees, will be available for you to climb.

The game is said to be more dynamic and “RPG-centric” with animals that can attack each other (a leaf out of Far Cry’s book by the sound of it), and there will be legendary items to loot. There is no mention of any modern day sections, this story, as the name implies, is the origin of the Assassins.

Development of the game was started before Assassin’s Creed Unity so they’ve had a good long run, lets hope it has paid off. The full reveal will occur during Ubisoft’s E3 presentation on Monday June 12th, 9.00pm BST.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is arriving on October 27th, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One, if the leaks are correct. It will be optimised for Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Pro.

  1. This sounds like an AC game fans have been asking for for years, please don’t mess this up Ubisoft.

  2. Tomb raiding..? with proper tombs? Well, somebody had to do it.

  3. Underwater sections?? Why?!?!??

That’s up there with “running towards the camera” sections at the top of my list of “things that shouldn’t be allowed in a game, ever”

  4. Sounds like this could be the best Tomb Raider game since Black Flag.
