Let’s be honest. Bethesda has been riding the Skyrim gravy train for a good while now, and will continue to do so with Skyrim VR and Skyrim on Switch. But there have been murmurings of  a new entry to The Elder Scrolls franchise, likely from those who want to see something new done with Tamriel that isn’t online.
Well Bethesda’s Pete Hines is here to dash those expectation as he revealed on YouTube at E3 that there are at least two other projects in development ahead of The Elder Scrolls 6, and that development hasn’t even begun. So we probably won’t see a new Elder Scrolls until the 2020’s.
You can hear the statement from the 9 minute mark where Geoff quizzes Pete about a new Elder Scrolls.

I would have been surprised if they did announce it this year. They have 2 unnamed IPs in development atm, hopefully, a new engine as well and TESVI is likely to be early 2020 at the earliest.
Provided, they don’t turn into Valve.
Starman
Not even in development? That is disappointing. I’d bet it won’t even release until the next generation.
