A Plague Tale: Innocence’s E3 Trailer Features A Tide Of Rats Tearing Apart A Guard

The mid 14th century saw one of the worst pandemics to ever hit humanity as the Black Death spread through much of Europe and the Middle East, resulting in the deaths of millions. It’s also an event that hasn’t been really covered directly in games, though it has inspired many like the plague of Dishonored. One game that is set at the height of the pandemic is A Plague Tale: Innocence, which is set in Paris in the year 1349.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is an action adventure title which is in development at Asobo Studio. The story focuses on the children Amicia and her younger brother Hugo as they try to evade the Inquisition and the rats. As you can see from the trailer above the rats are a dangerous force that can take down a grown man in seconds.

While a release date is to be confirmed that platforms A Plague Tale: Innocence is expected to release on are PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
