Guess What? Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Is Getting Standalone Release, Out June 27th

Remember the days of Activision stating that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered wasn’t going to get a standalone release? I remember. At the time it was a subject of debate as people who wanted to play MWR would require Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare to play. Obviously Activision didn’t want people holding out for a standalone release, hoping people would instead plump for the quite expensive Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare, which featured Modern Warfare.

Well as most guessed and various leaks suggested Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is going to get a standalone release, both digitally and on disc.

  1. Any word on price?

  2. I hate myself but I’ll probably buy this and sell Infinite Warfare so I don’t have to worry about the stupid disk.

  3. 4 days? Wow, that is surprising as i would have thought that Activision would put a lot of effort into marketing it because it’s their sole major IP that makes them a ton of cash. This is just their usual cba to promote it crap that they usually do for anything that ain’t cod.

  4. Well if they planned on pulling the same crap alongside future CODs, maybe with MW2 or WAW Remastered, they’ve really shot themselves in the foot now. People will be wise to their nonsense and simply wait for the now inevitable standalone release knowing that it’ll definitely happen…

I mean, I know to most of us it was obviously going to happen eventually but nobody could be 100% sure when or for how much the remaster would sell…

  5. Anyone seen where you can pick up a physical copy?
