WNBA Teams Are Joining NBA Live 18

EA have announced that WNBA teams – that’s the ones with ladies – are joining the roster of the forthcoming NBA Live 18 game. This is the first time the official WNBA’s roster of teams and players will appear in a video game, and each player has been studied and scanned so the game represents their playing style.

“We are extremely proud to partner with the WNBA and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) on this groundbreaking occasion,” said NBA LIVE Executive Producer Sean O’Brien. “The WNBA is home to some of the most incredible athletes on the planet, and we’ve been working hard to integrate them into our game in an authentic and meaningful way. This is only a taste of what we have in store, and look forward to working with the league on more great integrations in the franchise in the future.”

Obviously this is great news and can you make you warm and fuzzy as humanity progresses towards a more equal society. That is, until you read the YouTube comments for this video. Unless you want to get very angry I suggest you don’t.

  1. I wonder if NBA2K will follow the same route. Nevertheless I think it’s great to see the women’s side represented.

Against my better judgement I read a handful of comments on YouTube, I’m all for jokes in bad taste but the internet can be a horrendously base community. And people wonder why I don’t own a computer. TSA is about as far as I get.
