Rocksteady’s last major game, Batman: Arkham Knight, was released in 2015 with Batman: Arkham VR following a year later, and three years is a remarkably long time for a studio to be working on a game without even a tease as to what it might be. What’s more surprising is that nothing has leaked out, the team seem to be unusually water tight.
There were hopes that the game would make an appearance at E3 but that didn’t happen and as many people think they are working on a Superman game the next obvious event for a reveal would be San Diego Comic-Con which starts on July 18th.
Studio Director and co-founder of Rocksteady Games, Jamie Walker, has taken to Twitter to dash those hopes.
Inb4 people start asking about whether @RocksteadyGames will be at SDCC this year: we’d love to be there but won’t be ready to talk about our next game for a while yet. You’ll know when it’s time.

So there we go, no news on the game “for a while yet” so that sounds like next year to me. Five years ago Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara said that more games based on DC characters will be announced in “the coming months,” but since then nothing has materialised, what are Rocksteady working on?
