Rec Room’s Vampire-Hunting Co-op Quest Is Out Now

Cracking the whip.

The offbeat, community driven online VR of Rec Room is getting spooky, just in time to be two weeks after Halloween. A big new co-op quest, Crescendo of the Blood Moon has been released today, giving you a whip to crack and vampires to hunt across nine levels.

While Rec Room’s quests can accommodate up to four players, this particular one is limited to up to three.

It comes off the back of Against Gravity seeing a horror trend in the user-created rooms and games, ever since adding creative tools into the game at the start of this year. Not to be outdone, they thought they’d show you all how it’s done.

Rec Room is available for PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality.

  1. It doesn’t need PSVR now. An update a while back made it optional.

Not sure how well you’d do in some of the games against VR players though. Things like the paintball capture the flag game, where you’re running across the map with the flag in one hand, and shooting paintballs at the players chasing you with the other?

But absolutely worth checking out in VR. Just find the option to try and avoid being matched with kids.
