Respawn have confirmed that the newly launched free-to-play title Apex Legends will be getting cross-platform play at some point in the future. However, your progress and in game purchases will be locked to the platform you are using. This is “due to the way systems were set up early on” which “can’t [be] reconciled after the fact.”
It has also been revealed that the game has already had over 1 million unique players, a milestone that it hit in just eight hours. You can read more about the game in our hands on preview which you can find here.
I’m so overwhelmed right now, @PlayApex broke a million unique players in under 8 hours. ❤️❤️❤️
