In an unexpected partnership, EA announced earlier this week a short film being made in collaboration with District 9 and Elysium director Neill Blomkamp. That short film is out now, acting as a prequel to the game, and you can check it out here:
Now, I’ll admit, I’m a tad confused. This is much more like an overly long Marvel superhero film trailer than I was expecting from it being called a “short film”, and the cuts and jumps break up any story into small bites that don’t really come together. It is pretty though.

What a mess. Does EA think they just buy another streamer again and 27 million gamer sheep will follow and buy the game? Does anyone recognise any trace of what Bioware once was anywhere in this game?
