Having helped PlatinumGames create some of its most iconic games, Yusuke Hashimoto has announced his departure from the influential Japanese developer, having been at the studio since its founding in 2007.

Note – the tweet was posted this morning, despite saying that yesterday was 31st January.
Hashimoto was producer on Bayonetta and director on Bayonetta 2, so fans eagerly awaiting the third game may be a little concerned about what his departure means. However, Hashimoto hadn’t been mentioned in relation to the game’s development, so it’s not known if he was working on the project. Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct didn’t feature Bayonetta 3, simply saying that it was still in development after announcing Astral Chain.
