Firewall Zero Hour DLC #4 drops today with two new characters

Another DLC pack is dropping today for Firewall Zero Hour, the acclaimed PSVR online tactical shooter, bringing two new contractors, their respective new abilities and more guns to unlock.

Jag has an Ambush skill that lets her place three mines in battle, which is especially useful when on the Defending squad as you collectively have more traps at your disposal. The skill can be unlocked for any Contractor when you hit level 31 and splurge 25,000 Crypto.

On the other hand, Node’s Afterlife skill lets you detonate planted C4 after they’ve died through the support feed. Another powerful tool for defence, as you get to reach back through from the afterlife, this skill can be equipped to any Contractor once you’ve reached level 43 and spend 35,000 Crypto on it.

DLC ¢ also adds the 9MM Stinger SMG (Unlocked at Level 24 / Crypto 24,000), JA-300 assault rifle (Unlocked at Level 42 / Crypto 42,000), and H5 Hornet assault rifle (Unlocked at Level 50 / Crypto 42,000).

  1. That Afterlife skill is going to be fun. If you’ve got a good camera view of the laptop and put some C4 next to it. Everyone’s also going to have to be a lot more paranoid about running straight to the laptop now. Last second wins for the defending team are going to be a lot more common.

It’s also something people have often commented on. You can watch the camera feed after you’re dead, so why can’t you detonate your C4? (Ignoring the question of how you can watch the cameras when you were shot so hard in the face you’re just a pair of legs sticking out of a wall)

That extra mines skill might be slightly annoying, but probably just means everyone uses ghost again. Since August the game has gone from nobody having mines, to everyone using them, and then nobody using them because everyone was using ghost to avoid them, and then people stopped using ghost until a whole load of new players came along and started using mines again. December was full of mines. Then everyone started using ghost again, and the mines stopped. Now we’ll have loads of mines.

Shame there aren’t any new maps though.
