You want Sniper Elite? Well Rebellion are making damn well sure that you’re getting Sniper Elite, as they’ve announced four projects are in the works. These include the leaked Sniper Elite V2 remaster, as well as other Switch and VR projects, and a full sequel.
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered (itself a remake of the original game) will come out this year for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch. As part of the remaster, it will be bumped up with enhanced graphics, 4K and HDR support, a new photo mode, new playable characters, and up to 16 player multiplayer.
Also out this year will be Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition for Nintendo Switch, which will feature the main game and its DLC as well as local wireless multiplayer and motion control support to make full use of the system’s capabilities. This isn’t hugely surprising, considering that the game originally released on PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as current gen consoles.
Looking further into the future, a standalone Sniper Elite game for VR is being developed in partnership with Just Add Water (who are best known for their work on Oddworld and Gravity Crash), more details of which will be coming later this year, and a full new title in the Sniper Elite series that will be revealed in 2020. I’m going to put my money on it being called Sniper Elite 5.

They don’t immediately strike me as Switch games but, eh, they’re good fun and we’re rather starved for shooters on Switch so I guess it makes sense.
