Splatoon 2 is an absolute corker of a game and easily one of the highlights from the Nintendo Switch’s first year, and Nintendo want to make sure you all know it. This week they’ve got a free demo version of the game’s multiplayer that you can download and try out until next Monday, 25th March.
Of course, there’s just one small problem with that: you need Nintendo Switch Online to play online games these days. Don’t want to pay and used up your 7 day free trial already? No matter; if you download the Splatoon 2 demo, you’ll also get a fresh 7 day Switch Online trial, which will also let you dip into the NES library of games.
By downloading the #Splatoon2: Special Demo, you’ll receive a free 7-day trial for #NintendoSwitchOnline so you can participate – even if you’ve used your free trial already!

Fantastic game and one which has received so much support since launch. Much like other Nintendo software, some of it’s online components are a little obtuse and basic but the core gameplay is top-tier and I’ve put well over 100 hours into it at this point.
