Three Quantic Dream games that were exclusive to PlayStation are heading towards PC with a different sort of exclusivity deal, that being that they will only be available via the Epic Games Store.
“David Cage and I have planned the next evolution of Quantic Dream very carefully,” explained CEO Guillaume de Fondaumière,“The move to PC constitutes our studio’s first effort to develop non PlayStation exclusive games in over 13 years, but also an opportunity to gradually engage the team on multiple projects at the same time.”
“The most important evolution for Quantic Dream, however, is that we are no longer a developer working with a publisher,” he added. “Starting with the PC versions of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human, we will be self-publishing all our titles.”
Fondaumière also said they chose the Epic Games Store for two reasons, the first being the larger share of the revenue, and the second is that as the store is curated which means the games will get more exposure.
No release date for the games was given but they are expected to launch sometime this year.
