If you thought Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame were an ambitious crossover, then let me introduce you to the video game equivalent, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, an action role-playing crossover game series that bundles in Avengers, X-Men, Defenders, Guardians of the Galaxy and more from the Marvel universe.
Revealed at The Game Awards 2018, the series has been brought back to life by Nintendo and developers Team Ninja as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Speaking of exclusives, with just a couple months before its 19th July release, Game Informer have nabbed the exclusive to cover the game, starting with 7 minutes of gameplay:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order starts off with the Guardians of the Galaxy flying through space, and that’s not the only similarity to the recent MCU films. The Infinity Stones are the MacGuffin once more, the roster of playable characters is similarly inspired by those from Infinity War, and you’ll be hopping back and forth between groups of characters.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch on 19th July.
