Dice has announced that there’s a big change coming to Battlefield V’s rank system as a new Promotions mechanic will raise the career rank cap from level 50 to level 500. This cap is expected to rise during the latter part of Chapter 4: Defying the Odds. The feature is in active development so while a lot of information is present some of it may change before Promotions are launched post level 50.
After level 50 promotions will happen at every 50th level increase, so those points will be level 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 450, 500. In between these points, eg 51 to 100, players will earn company coin. Over the journey to level 500 players can expect to earn approximately two million company coins. However, when the new ranks are added end of match company coin rewards will be turned off. Company coins will still be earnable through assignments, tides of war rewards, and daily challenges. The XP required to go from 50 to 51 will be 12,000 and this will steadily increase until promotion. At each promotion point the curve is reset but the required XP amount will get higher.
A further update regarding Promotions may arrive at the end of the month with the possibility of a release date.
