Amazing new exclusive Xbox product revealed ahead of E3

Microsoft have revealed the latest edition to the their Xbox range and it’s going to get fans in a frothy lather. The fetchingly green Xbox inspired Lynx bodywash range has been announced and in typical Microsoft fashion is totally exclusive… to Australia.

Yes, it’s only those in Oz who will be able to smother themselves in the smell of Microsoft gaming which comes as a deodorant, a body spray and a shower gel, the latter coming in normal or extra manly XL sized packs.

But what does Xbox even smell like? Well, here’s there official description.

“Lynx Xbox is a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood. Containing a range of natural essential oils, the Xbox Lynx range comes with a sleek new look and features a body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.

An interesting choice of scents to be sure, I think everyone was expecting a waft of stale Doritos and splash energy drinks rather than kaffir lime and winter lemon.

“We see Xbox fans achieve incredible things every day, and we wanted to celebrate that elevated skill, passion and determination by creating something truly special,” said Tania Chee, the business group lead for Xbox Australia / New Zealand, in a statement.

“Now, powering up can be as simple as a quick spray before you head out the door.”

Mmm, lovely.

However, there’s one big problem with this. Lynx is a brand for men, what about the ladies? This is all very sexist, Xbox only smells like manly things?! What utter rubbish, ladies are just at home playing Halo in their pants as the chaps, where are the refreshing body washes for them? Is this a unisex scent like CK One? If so why is part of the laddish Lynx rage?

    This is what happens when Microsoft’s marketing department needs to sell soap. Imagine how pretentious an Apple soap ad would be.

    • Apple wouldn’t need an advert. The apple fans would buy it anyway as long as it’s branded.
