Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout brings Takeshi’s Castle craziness to PS4 & PC in 2020

Cult classic Japanese game show Takeshi’s Castle is being reborn in video gaming form with Fall Guys: Ultimate, a madcap 100 player multiplayer game from MediaTonic and Devolver Digital. It will be coming to PS4 and PC in 2020.

It’s a mad sprint to the finish line and the crown, as you take on round after round of increasingly chaotic games, avoiding or overcoming obstacles, pushing past other competitors, and making use of the game’s physics to get ahead. Starting with 100 players online, you’re constantly battling to make the cut and move on to the next round, but the game shifts between free-for-alls and co-op, team-based challenges.

The Fall Guys in the game are rather adorable and squidgy – which is all part of the bouncy physics-based nonsense – and they’ll be customisable, with pineapple styling, bunny hats and more.

All in all, it looks like a lot of barmy fun!
