Here’s everything we know about Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine

While leaks might have taken away some of the impact of it, Ubisoft have now officially unveiled Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine as part of their E3 2019 lineup.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine is a 3-player squad-based survival FPS being developed by an entirely new team at Ubisoft Montreal, led by game director Bio Jade. The Rainbow Six operators will face off against a mysterious threat infecting human hosts and their surroundings, and there’s definitely a bit of zombie outbreak about everything that looks to be going on.

The trailer shows the player character succumbing to an aggressive infection that starts to take hold of their arm that’s subsided by a wrist-based device that seems to contain some kind of antidote, or at least something that holds the contagion at bay.

We’ve been told to “prepare to launch into tense, chaotic, and totally unpredictable missions as you and your squad risk everything every time you step into quarantine.” Rumours abound that Quarantine is based on a now-cancelled sci-fi game Pioneer that Ubisoft were working on up until last year, but this definitely feels like it’s going to be a welcome addition to the Rainbow Six family. It has been confirmed that there’s a number of elements from Rainbow Six Siege, including the appearance of some of the operators, to tie the two together.

The game is set to release in early 2020 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

  1. Damn, I was hoping for something similar to what we saw of Rainbow Six Patriots.
