Ubisoft have announced a new competitive sports game, Roller Champions, which looks a hell of a lot like roller derby blended with Rocket League, as teams of competitors race around an oval trying to score by dunking a ball through hoops mounted on the side of the wall.
It’s a simple set up, with two teams of 3 trying to grab the ball, complete a lap and score a goal, and that simplicity will certainly help it. You do have to wonder if it ever be able to step out of the shadow of its forebears, though.
If you find it intriguing, you can try it out now with an E3 demo that’s available right now. You’ll be able to access the game through UPlay for PC from 10th – 14th June.
