Here are you Dauntless Season 5 Week 8 challenges

It’s time for the Dauntless weekly reset and with it comes a fresh batch of Hunt Pass challenges for slayers to partake in. Every seven days you’ll receive a quartet of optional tasks to complete, earning rewards and helping to boost your Hunt Pass rank.

These four weekly challenges are also a good way to encourage player experimentation, prodding you towards certain weapons you may otherwise ignore.

As always, the challenges are fairly straightforward but some grinding will be required. You’ll need to complete a minimum of 20 hunts to clear them all, earning the max number of Heartseekers up for grabs. For total efficiency, make sure you stick to either the War Pike or Repeaters as no other weapons will contribute towards your completion rate. Make sure you’re dodging as often as possibly and if you haven’t got Terra or Frost versions of the aforementioned weapon classes, go and get them forged straight away.

Dauntless Season 5 Week 6 Hunt Pass challenges

Here’s are this week’s challenges:

Terra Squad – Slay 10 Behemoths using Terra weapons
Furious Bombardment – Slay 10 Behemoths using War Pikes or Repeaters
Frost Hazard – Slay 10 Behemoths using Frost weapons
Master of Evasion – Dodge through 125 attacks

Completing any of these challenges will earn you 150 Heartseekers, pushing you towards the next rank in your Hunt Pass.

As a free-to-play game, Dauntless supports itself via the Hunt Pass, which mimics Fortnite’s own Battle Pass. As you complete hunts and cross off challenges, this will boost your Hunt Pass rank and unlock rewards of an increasingly higher value and rarity. There are 50 Hunt Pass ranks in total.

You may have noticed that the Hunt Pass has two paths, basic and elite. Those who pay for a premium pass will get upgraded to elite status, netting them even more rewards for ranking up as well as 50% extra Mastery experience and bonus loot at the end of every hunt.

Developer Phoenix Labs has just announced its next season for Dauntless dubbed “High Skies”. This will be the game’s first season to feature two Hunt Passes back to back with a distinct pirate theme running throughout. There are new features on the way too including a Wall of Champions to celebrate top players and the Island of Trials where veterans can put their slaying skills to the test.
