StarCraft: Cartooned goes all the way in making the classic RTS look adorable

The grim 26th century sci-fi future of StarCraft has received an unexpected Zerg-rush of cute cuddliness thanks to StarCraft: Cartooned. Made in collaboration with Carbot Animations, the entire game has been reimagined with a fun and adorable looking cartoon art style, and is now available as a £9 DLC for StarCraft: Remastered.

Every unit, structure, map, menu, and mission has been recreated in Carbot’s art style, giving the game a whole new look with dramatically simplified visuals. It works whether you’re playing through the single player campaign yet again or want to head online and dip into a few multiplayer ladder matches. Because it’s essentially just reskinning the game, you can play with other people who don’t own StarCraft: Cartooned.

StarCraft: Remastered was a ground-up remake of the classic RTS for modern machines, released in 2017. It brought support for ultra HD resolutions, featured re-recorded audio and brought more modern online features into the game as well, but kept all of the original gameplay intact.
