Take Two Interactive has confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2’s sales have broken through the 25 million sales mark in the approx 10 months since it launched. The game arrived on PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th but has not been made available for PC which could have helped push sales much further. That doesn’t tell the full story though as in the first eight days Red Dead Redemption 2 sold 17 million copies. It could be that Red Dead Redemption continues at a more steady pace allowing for sales of approximately a million a month.
Of course, it’s a long way off from GTA V which has gone way over the 100 million mark in the six years since it launched, but that game was also available on more platforms including PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Comparing the two when it comes to sales doesn’t really work in the current era due to that difference. If RDR2 is released on PC and next-gen consoles then maybe a comparison would be in order.
The Summer update is rolling out for Red Dead Online as well giving players the chance to take on the role of bounty hunter, trader, or a treasure hunter. If you’re yet to play Red Dead Redemption 2 you can see what Adrian said:

In the earnings call from Take Two Interactive there was no confirmation of Grand Theft Auto VI, which apparently leaked earlier this year. According to the leak GTA VI will take place in Vice City and a new South American location. Players will apparently take on the role of a drug runner called Ricardo who will be travelling between the locations while having to deal with weather such as hurricanes. The game is apparently not going to come out until the next generation so there’s a few years wait there. It’ll supposedly have a chapter system and go through the 70s and 80s era, with a soundtrack that matches.
