Back in June Kalypso Media confirmed it was working on remasters for Commandos 2 and Praetorians by announcing both Commandos 2 HD Remastered and Praetorians HD Remaster. Both games are getting overhauled graphics as you would expect from a remaster as well as updated controls to allow for better user experience. Today, Kalypso revealed two trailers with each of them showing what players can expect to see when the release of the remastered editions comes about.
Kalypso confirmed that Commandos 2 HD Remaster will be released on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch. Praetorians HD Remaster will be heading to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in Q4 2019. This has all come about because last year Kalypso acquired the rights to a lot of Pyro Games properties. At the time Kalypso released a statement saying:
“We have great respect for what the Pyro Studios team have accomplished and created throughout the history of the studio. Therefore, we see it as our responsibility to want to revive and further develop these beloved games for fans around the world. Of course, this will include the development of completely new games for all platforms, but also an extensive adaptation of the existing titles for contemporary technologies and platforms. We’re incredibly excited about the opportunities, and will begin speaking to potential development studios in the near future.”
