Behaviour Interactive have announced that the characters from the hit Netflix show Stranger Things are to appear in Dead by Daylight. There will be a new killer in the shape of the Demogorgon, and Nancy Wheeler, the tough aspiring journalist, and Steve Harrington, a former high school jock with a knack for finding trouble, will join the cast of survivors.
There will also be a new map, the Underground Complex, which is located below the Hawkins National Laboratory.
Previous DLC for the game added Ash from The Evil Dead and Ghostface from the Scream movies. The game was recently ported to Switch and will be released on September 24th, and in June this year a mobile version was announced.
“Developed by a dedicated mobile team, Dead by Daylight Mobile will be fully optimised and offer the same gameplay and modes that fans enjoy, with new controls and an experience carefully crafted for smartphones and tablets,” say Behaviour Interactive
The game will hit the stores sometime before the end of the year with new controls specially created for smartphones. It will also be supported with regular content drops following the same roadmap as the PC and console versions. Here’s the year 4 roadmap.
A recent updated included new are perks called “Mettle of Man,” “Buckle Up” and “Flip-Flop,” along with a new map called the Temple of Purgation, and a new killer known as The Plague. Horror icons Freddy Kreuger, Michael Myers, and Leatherface can also be purchased as DLC.
Dead by Daylight was on PlayStation Plus a year ago so many of you should have it laying around in you library. We gave the game 6/10 in our original review but it’s been updated and improved upon considerably since then.
The Stranger Things Chapter launches in September on PC and consoles and includes two exclusive cosmetic items: Steve’s Scuffed Rolled Sleeves and Nancy’s Torn Sweatshirt.
