Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s beta will be taking place this weekend on PS4, with those who pre-order getting early access on the console this Thursday. If you don’t want to pre-order but still fancy having a shot at early access then enter our giveaway here. As a little preview a very short trailer has arrived which zips through different shots. The beta itself will include the 2v2 Gunfight mode, 6v6 battles across different modes including Team Deathmatch, Domination and Headquarters. There will also be some matches on maps that will feature even more players, which could mean the appearance of the 100 player Ground War mode. Will Spec Ops, which is returning to the franchise, be included? Unfortunately, there’s no mention of that mode.
The full dates of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta are as follows:
- September 12th -13th (Early Access, PS4)
- September 14th – 16th (Open Beta, PS4)
- September 19th – 20th Cross-Play (Early Access PC/Xbox One. Open Beta PS4)
- September 21st – 23rd Cross Play (Open Beta PC/Xbox One/PS4)
There’s no doubt Killstreaks will be present as they’re making a return to the franchise, with the classic nuke being part of that list as well as the new addition of white phosphorous. Full details about the game’s multiplayer mode can be read here.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on October 25th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
