Doom Eternal delayed until March 2020

Bethesda and id Software has made an announcement regarding Doom Eternal’s release date, with the confirmation that the game has been pushed back from November 22nd. Instead, the new release date will be March 20, 2020. This is for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. The Nintendo Switch version will be released afterward though a date is not yet forthcoming. The main reason for the delay is to polish up the game to meet internal standards before releasing it.

As you can see a couple of other announcements besides the delay were made. One of those is that the Invasion mode, in which you can invade another player’s game as demon, will not be available at launch but added as a free download after release. A new pre-order bonus was announced as well and that is Doom 64 for all platforms. If you don’t fancy getting Doom Eternal but want Doom 64 then you’ll notice it also has a release date of March 20, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
