It doesn’t really feel like it, but a major new gaming platform launched at the start of this week. Since the middle of the week, I don’t think I’ve heard a peep about Google Stadia, though.
Has anyone here picked up a Founder’s Editions (outside of Dom)? How are you finding it?

This Week’s Features
Though Stadia’s yet to really make its mark, I had two hands on experiences with game streaming for the start of this week. I previewed both Project xCloud from Microsoft, and then went hands on with Google Stadia. Both have their ups and downs, and 2020 is going to be fascinating to see how they and PS Now compete.
Stepping away from a potential future of gaming, Jim stepped into something that should have happened in the past. He’s been playing Shenmue III, and asks if you should buy it.
Miguel then returned to BattleTech and its new Heavy Metal expansion to mess around with the ten new mechs in the game, and I explored the season finale of Life Is Strange 2. In the process, I also spoke with the game’s lead writer, reflecting on the game’s development, how they shaped Daniel’s behaviours and more.
What We Played capped off the week as usual, featuring Control, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Shenmue III.

Your Achievements
Checking in with you guys:
- TSBonyman finished off The Outer Worlds after a whopping 45 hours and 48 minutes. He did rather enjoy it, saying he wishes for another 40 hours of game, but will settle fo an expansion or a sequel.
- MrYd is back to his usual self, trying to clear his backlog… and failing to do so by playing Crash Team Racing, Kingdom Hearts 3 and quite a bit of Battlefield V. Oh, and the last AC Odyssey DLC, and Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and more of his usual VR games…
The Week Ahead
There’s not much going on this coming week. Are we done with huge video game releases for 2019?

- Gris – PS4 – 26/11
- Golazo! – PS4, XBO – 27/11
- Five Nights at Freddy’s – PS4. Switch – 29/11
- Where the Water Tastes Like Wine – PS4, XBO, Switch – 29/11
That’s it for this week, I’ll see you again soon!
