The creator of Doki Doki Literature Club has announced that the game will be getting new content later this year. Dan Salvato tweeted earlier today that he would be working on new stuff for the title, though it won’t be a Doki Doki Literature Club sequel. What that content is remains to be seen. Dan also stated that he would be returning to work on his next visual novel which has been on the backburner for the last couple of years.
This will be the year I reclaim my happiness so I can deliver it to others! My goal is to fully return to doing things I enjoy, such as making games. First releasing new DDLC content (not a sequel), then blowing the dust off my next original VN which has been on hold for 2 years.

Doki Doki Literature Club was released in 2017 and is one of the top rated visual novels on Steam with users praising the experience. Our very own Miguel is a huge fan of the game too. If you do fancy playing the game just beware of this warning:

or those who are easily disturbed.
Doki Doki Literature Club is free on Steam.

Amazing! Never thought they’d do more. I highly recommend playing it – it’s a unique four hours well spent.
