Persona 5 Scramble has a new trailer with gameplay, watch it here

Atlus has released a new trailer for Persona 5 Scramble, the not quite sequel to Persona 5. That’s because Persona 5 Scramble isn’t an all out JRPG. Co-developed with Omega Force and P-Studio this game combines the combat style from Dynasty Warriors and the turn based combat from the Persona series. Persona 5 Scramble’s story is set six months after the events of Persona 5 where the Phantom Thieves end up in an alternate Tokyo which is overrun by supernatural forces.

Before playing Persona 5 Scramble it may be worth playing Persona 5 or Persona 5 Royal to get a better understanding of the characters, as well as the world which you’ll be saving this time around. There’s a reason Persona 5 is considered one of the best JRPGs and Dave elaborated in his review by saying:

Persona 5 stole my heart. It was impossible to believe that the best game of the already venerated series was still to come, and yet somehow everything works wonderfully. I’d rather the dialogue didn’t pad things out as much as it did, but I was captivated from beginning to end, while it successfully brought back mechanics long thought out-dated, and introduced smart changes for the better. An essential RPG for 2017 that you should not miss out on.
