It appears that all of the recent leaks regarding the next Assassin’s Creed are incorrect, according to industry insider Daniel Ahmed aka ZhugeEX who is usually very good with his information. Posting on Resetera Daniel wrote that every leak regarding Ubisoft’s next entry to the series is incorrect, including that the name will not be Raganarok. He’s full post is below.
For what it’s worth. All of the new AC leaks so far have been incorrect. It’s not even called Ragnarok.
Sure. Some of the details are right. Like improved combat or whatever. But in general they’re not that accurate.
So, maybe Ubisoft are avoiding the whole Viking era, which was first rumoured after a poster appeared in The Division 2 which showed a Viking holding the Apple of Eden. Additional alleged leaks stated that the game would have players traverse around the Nordic nations and parts of England. Then last week it seemed that more evidence had appeared when it came to the special editions of the game, with Valhalla and Mjolnir editions appearing on Amazon and Gamestop.
We do know that next Assassin’s Creed won’t be appearing until at least 2021 with this year’s big launch now being Watch Dogs: Legion after that was delayed from its early 2020 release date. It may be that the next Assassin’s Creed is set in the Viking era but with a different name, or be in an entirely different location.
