MiHoYo has today confirmed that it has opened registrations for the next closed beta of its open world RPG Genshin Impact. The closed beta will be available on PC, iOS, and Android but not on consoles at this time. This closed beta will be different to the last one as it will take players to a new area in the game, and allow them to experience a new questline. The area is Liyue Harbor aka the City of Rock which is inspired by Eastern influences. The previous beta had players in the Mondstadt, aka the City of Wind.
The next closed beta has been given a vague Q1 2020 date. You can sign up for a chance to get into the beta through the official site. Earlier this week miHoYo confirmed that Genshin Impact would be coming to Switch. The game was confirmed for PS4 last year. In Genshin Impact players take on the role of The Traveler who washes up on the shores of Teyvat. The main story will be about searching for the character’s sibling but there will be plenty of other quests to experience. There will be over 30 companions to ally with to make up your party of four, and there is also the multiplayer aspect where players can work together to tackle quests.
A release date for Genshin Impact is yet to be confirmed.
