Get A Plague Tale: Innocence and Indivisible in Xbox Game Pass today

Microsoft are throwing a handful of new games into their Xbox Game Pass subscription library this week, including A Plague Tale: Innocence and Indivisible, and a handful of others. They’re rounding out a big month for the service that already added big hitters like Grand Theft Auto V and Tekken 7 into the mix.

Let’s dive into what you can get today, 23rd January, and then next week on 30th January:

Available 23rd January:

  • A Plague Tale: Innocence (Console and PC)
  • Indivisible (Console)

A Plague Tale takes you back to France that’s invaded by English soldiers on the one hand and cursed by the Black Death on the other. You play as Amicia trying to guide her little brother Hugo through this brutal world with a supernatural twist. “Asobo Studios have knocked it out of the park with a compelling story, superb graphics, and excellent music,” Tuffcub said in our glowing review.

Meanwhile, Indivisible is the realisation of a 2015 prototype from Lab Zero, garnering a lot of early interest for its blend of distinctive art, metroidvania and JRPG. Steve said, “Indivisible has been worth the wait.”

Available 30th January:

  • Sea Salt (ID@Xbox) (Console and PC)
  • Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour (Console)

Already available in January:

  • Children of Morta (Console and PC)
  • Frostpunk: (ID@Xbox) (Console and PC)
  • Grand Theft Auto: V (Console only)
  • Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet (Console only)
  • Tekken 7 (Console only)

Of course, all good things must eventually come to an end. Five games will be leaving the service at the end of the month, though Xbox Game Pass members can get a 20% discount before they go to keep them in their game libraries. Those games are:

  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
  • Resident Evil 4
  • Saint’s Row The Third
  • The Division
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

That’s your lot for January, but Microsoft have big plans for the start of this year and Xbox Game Pass. At XO19 they revealed 35 games that were coming to the service through the end of the year and into the start of this, and if you like to take gaming with you on the go, Microsoft have revealed that Project xCloud game streaming will be coming to Xbox Game Pass for free when it’s ready for a full release in 2020.
