Team17 have announce that co-op furniture removal game Moving Out will be coming out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on 28th April.
With it’s bright cartoony art style and cooperative gameplay, there’s a fair old bit of Overcooked! (another game published by Team17) in how this game looks, right down to some of the sensationalised level design, driving around a world map between levels, and the characters you can choose to play as.
There’s co-op for up to four players, joining the Smooth Moves removal company as Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technicians (F.A.R.Ts) and taking on any and every job in the town of Packmore. You’ll be grabbing sofas, best, aquariums, pianos and much much more, dragging them over and chucking them in the back of your removals van.
Inclusivity is a key part of the game, with character customisation options that go from simply having glasses, to hijabs and wheelchairs. Additionally, from the gameplay perspective, you have the ability to increase time limits, use dyslexia-friendly text, increase the interface size, and just outright skip some of the 50 levels. I’m sure many will want a challenging experience, but that’s great for playing with kids and for catering to disabilities.
