Bandai Namco has confirmed that a much-requested feature is going to be heading to Dragon Ball FighterZ in its next update. That feature will be Z Assist Select which means players will be able to select whatever assist they wish regardless of the character they choose or the size of the character. That will not be the only addition that is going to be added in this update. In addition, there will be balance changes to avoid one-sided matches from occurring due to specific moves and combos. These balance changes will also allow players with one character left to have more of a chance to stage a comeback.
All of this was confirmed by the game’s producer Tomoko Hiroki, and you can check out the announcement below.
"Z Assist Select" is one example of new features & adjustments coming to #DBFZ. We're also making adjustments that prevent one sided games and a specific feature that gives users a chance even with one character left!https://t.co/fotNCp3pkz #DBFZWT pic.twitter.com/Az9zZtOyxX

In our review for Dragon Ball FighterZ Dave wrote:
2018 is off to a strong start with Dragon Ball FighterZ an early contender for this year’s best fighting game. By shattering some boundaries, Dragon Ball FighterZ has combat that’s more than worth getting into, but also a diverse roster and some phenomenal presentation. The Story Mode could have been improved if it were more streamlined, but it’s a mere blemish on an otherwise spectacular game.
