Giveaway – Win a pair of Pac-Man My Arcade Pocket Players for you and your squeeze

Love is in the air – or is it abject materialism? Whether you’re into the whole Valentine’s Day romance thing or not, buying flowers, chocolates or a large piece of jewellery to compensate for something else – sorry, I’ve not quite got into the spirit of this yet have I? – we don’t need much excuse to have a giveaway so you can win some glorious gaming stuff.

The lovely folks over at My Arcade have sent us a pair of Pocket Players to giveaway to one lucky couple – or one greedy person with access to four hands. All you need to do to enter is pop through the competition hub below and you’re on the path to hours of game playing where you won’t need to talk to each other.

The Pocket Player is a retro 8-bit portable system, coming in Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man flavours, with a different line-up of games in each. Ms. Pac-Man brings Mappy and Sky Kid along for the ride, while Pac-Man goes full Pac-attack by bringing Pac-Mania and Pac-Panic in tow. No matter which you’re playing the both boast a 2.8″ full colour, back-lit screen, front-facing speaker, volume control and even a headphone socket! Hell there’s a lanyard too for the eternally clumsy amongst you. They’ll run merrily on 4xAAA batteries or via micro-USB cable meaning the dot-munching never has to stop, unless of course you want it to.

Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man remain amongst the most iconic gaming characters of all time, and while their classic 2D shenanigans battling ghosts, eating fruit and taking performance enhancing pills are the most widely known, my personal pick would be the isometric Pac-Mania which is probably exactly the same game but from an isometric viewpoint.

We’ll be running the competition over the Valentine’s Day weekend, and entries close at 6PM UK time on Sunday 16th February. The giveaway is open to residents of the UK and Europe. Winners must respond within three working days of being contacted, and if they do not another winner will be drawn. Our usual terms and conditions apply, and decisions are final.
