Google have revealed the line up of free games bundled in with Stadia Pro subscriptions, with the pleasant surprise that it will actually include three games, and not just the usual two.
Those games are GRID, SteamWorld Dig 2 and SteamWorld Quest, all of which will be available to claim from Sunday 1st March.
There’s a good deal of critical acclaim in next month’s line up. SteamWorld Dig 2 and SteamWorld Quest have both drawn plaudits since their initial releases as timed Nintendo Switch exclusives. While SteamWorld Dig 2 is now available on practically everything, with its popular style of freeform Metroidvania, the deck-building RPG of SteamWorld Quest has up until this point only been available on Switch or PC. Both are new releases on Stadia, having been announced for the platform last week alongside the original SteamWorld Dig and the turn-based tactical SteamWorld Heist. This franchise gets through quite a few genres, doesn’t it?
GRID is Codemasters’ 2019 revival of their popular last-gen racing series. What stands out about this one is that the game has a Stadia-exclusive online game mode, in which up to 40 players can compete. This is only possible on Stadia thanks to the cloud-based game instances and server architecture, so don’t expect to see it on PS4, Xbox One or PC any time soon!
While there’s three new games joining the service, one will be leaving the library. Farming Simulator 19 Platinum Edition will drop out of Stadia Pro on 29th February, so make sure to claim the game and add it to your personal collection before then.
If none of that tickles your fancy, then Stadia Pro subscribers might find their fancies tickled by the following selection of discounted games
