Draw Distance has confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade: Coteries of New York, the narrative experience set in the same setting as Bloodlines 2, will be released for Switch on March 24th. PS4 and Xbox One versions are also going to be released but there is no confirmed date, only the message of very soon. This console version will include updates such as new character portraits and scene backgrounds, improved music, and bug fixes. Do not worry PC owners. These same fixes will be released on March 24th as a free update along with the game digital artbook and game soundtrack containing 13 tracks.
The setting of Coteries of New York casts you as a newly fledged vampire in New York, stepping into a conflict between the traditionalist Camarilla and independent Anarchs – this taking part in a licensed rendition of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition. You’re taken under the wing of an older, scheming vampire and have to learn the ways of the world as a nefarious plot gets underway around you.
Within that setting, you meet other vampires, thin-bloods, ghouls, humans and more, with tasks that test your humanity while also trying to sate the blood lust of the Beast inside. Naturally, the choices you make will shape the storylines, and while you start as part of the Camarilla, could see you cross paths and learn from the Anarchs.
The choices you make will need to take into account your character’s thirst for blood, their humanity, and how well they can blend into human society to avoid the suspicions of the Second Inquisition. This balancing act will be tight and the choices made will affect relationships with other characters as well as how well you can survive as a brand new vampire.
