The Division 2 Title Update 9.1 was due to be released this morning, but Ubisoft have decided to postpone it at the last minute, explaining that it needs more work to make sure it’s polished enough and not introducing new issues.
Though no date has been given, the expectation is that they’ll be able to release it later this week, coming alongside a period of maintenance.
In a simple statement posted on the game’s forums, Ubisoft issues the following statement:
We previously mentioned that Title Update 9.1 was meant to be deployed during a maintenance tomorrow but we made the decision today to delay the update, as we feel further testing is needed to ensure we avoid the introduction of new issues and deliver a high quality patch. We aim to get TU9.1 into your hands as soon as possible and our current goal is to deploy the update this week.
The details of the update were released last week, targeting several areas that needed refinement after TU9. These include:
- Framerate drops in the Dark Zones.
- Friendly Oxidizers damaging ally Skills.
- Recommended Activity tab not closing.
- The Frenzy talent staying active when swapping weapons.
Additionally, they are making balance changes to NPCs to try and iron out some difficulty spikes through particular skills, weapons and abilities, but these are seen as a first pass and will be readdressed as Ubi look to Title Update 10, which will also add
Instead of rolling out more free content in the form of Episodes, earlier this year Ubisoft announced a premium expansion for The Division 2 dubbed Warlord of New York. As the name suggests, this meaty chunk of DLC takes Agents back to the Big Apple where they’re forced to hunt down main antagonist Keener and his elite squad.
