Sony have been dropping PlayStation 5 bombs all evening, we were expecting ten or so games but they’ve announced over twenty five so we’re jamming a few of them in one post.
First up, the quirky Goodbye Volcano High, “a cinematic narrative game about the end of an era, and the beginning of a love story.”
It’s the final year of high school, and graduation looms on the horizon. Will the students of Volcano High have enough time to figure themselves out before it’s all over? Is it too late to tell their crush how they feel? Are they even ready for what comes next? Goodbye Volcano High is a cinematic narrative game about the end of an era, and the beginning of a love story.
The game is also coming to PlayStation 4.
Next up, Destruction Derby and Rocket League seemed to have got it on and had a baby and it’s named Destruction Allstars.
Destruction AllStars is an action-packed sports event that pits drivers against one another in an intense competition. The goal? Wreck as many cars as possible.
The third game is Solar Ash, the second game from Heart Machine, the creators of the award winning 2016 game Hyper Light Drifter.
Journey through a surreal, vivid and highly stylized world filled with mystery, wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters. The Void beckons…
And finally, Abe is back in Oddworld Soulstorm. We’re not sure why this is labelled an announcement trailer as the game was revealed ages ago, way back in 2016. As well as launching on PlayStation 5 the game will come to PS4 as well.
Soulstorm is inspired by Exodus but has a deeper story to it, with more things to do too. Oddworld Inhabitants’ Lorne Lanning had the following to say in the press statement in 2016:
“There was a deeper, darker, and more sinister story that we never got to tell. Soulstorm gives us the opportunity to flesh out more meat on the bones of an original spine, but re-tell the fable from a very different angle. Abe has a long way to go and plenty more adversity ahead. Soulstorm is going to be a much heavier trip for him.”

I feel very explicitly targeted by Goodbye, Volcano High. Very much one for me

Some intriguing stuff here. Solar Ash gave me a Gravity Rush feel.
