The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners Meatgrinder update will add new content

Zombie hunters are being invited to revisit New Orleans as The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners gears up for a major new update.

Developer Skydance Interactive have announced the upcoming Meatgrinder update for their hit virtual reality title which launched this year.

The expansion is due for release sometime next month, introducing new ways to play The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinner with bonus difficulty settings.

Headlining the Meatgrinder update is a new mode dubbed Trials. Here you will be able to test your Walker slaying skills as you fend off incoming waves of the undead using a readily available arsenal of weapons. This looks to be a great score chasing accompaniment to Saints and Sinner’s main story campaign and one that will let you experiment with its full arsenal.

If this new survival mode isn’t for you then the upcoming update also teases new difficulty options. Skydance Interactive haven’t divulged what this actually means though we’d hazard a guess as it being a tougher, more challenging version of the campaign with a heightened enemy threat level and fewer resources.

Earlier this year, Jason played through the game on Oculus Rift – here what he had to say about it in his The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners review, awarding an impressive 9 out of 10:

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an excellent VR game that stands out from a lot of what the medium tends to be associated with. The weight of the combat combined with the constant worry that the undead and the living both bring combine for an incredibly gratifying experience. Throw in crafting, the solid writing and meaningful quests and you’ve got a pretty special game on your hands. This is definitely worth a look if you can stomach more zombies. I mean, kill them, don’t eat them.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners is now available for Ocuclus Rift, Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR, and Steam.
