eFootball PES 2020 update 1.08 brings the game’s final data pack

Konami has released the final data pack for eFootball PES 2020 with data pack 8.0 released through update 1.08. The update adds new and improved face models to the game, fixes a crash issue when accepting invites while playing in a Euro 2020 match, and reducing some of Roberto Carlos’ skill regarding curl applied to shots with the outside of his foot. The full list of changes can be seen below, and it is not a big update.

Updates and Additions
・ New/updated face models
・ New/updated player portraits
・ New manager portraits

・ An issue occurring in Matchday Events using Preset Teams that prevents players from being set as ‘Players to Join Attack’. The issue is triggered by switching substitute players into your Starting Lineup from the Game Plan screen.
・ An issue where accepting an invitation to play a match while already in a Local Match (UEFA EURO 2020™) can cause the game to crash.
・ An issue that affects R. CARLOS from the Iconic Moment Series, reducing the amount of curl he is able to apply to balls kicked with the outside of his foot.
・ An issue affecting P. NEDVĚD from the Iconic Moment Series that causes a generic free kick animation to play in place of his unique animation.

In our review for eFootball PES 2020, I wrote:

eFootball PES 2020 may be a symbolic start of a new era for Konami, but it feels like not much has changed over last year’s version of the game. In fact, it might even be that last year’s version plays a shade better compared to this version. When PES 2020 works properly it is sublime, but issues on the pitch need addressed to really be considered worth upgrading.
