Learn your ABC’s with Kratos in a new book

Hey parents do you want a psychopathic, swearing, mass murderer to teach your children the alphabet? You do? Well step this way, we have just the thing for you!

Publisher Insight Editions has announced ‘God of War: B is for Boy’, written by Andrea Robinson with brand new original artwork from Romina Tempest.

It features delightful lines such as “Q is for Quiet boy! This has spiralled quick. Yes, you are a god but that’s no excuse to be a dick”, and “Gods are bastards,” so probably best not to give the book to a five year old.

This is the second time Kratos has ventured in to print this year, Dark Horse Comics has also published God of War: Fallen God by Chris Robertson and Tony Parker.

The series will be set between God of War III and the semi-reboot, PlayStation 4’s God of War. Chris Robertson and Tony Parker wrote the prequel comic to the PlayStation 4 game which began with Kratos already in the lands of the Norse, this new comic will fill in at least part of the journey to that destination. Here is the synopsis:

God of War: Fallen God follows Kratos after conquering Zeus and thwarting Athena. Believing himself to be finally free of his bondage, he sets sail for the desert in an attempt to distance himself from his home and his shame only to find his rage and guilt follow close behind. Kratos rages against the one foe that has proven to be unconquerable—himself. But a war against oneself is unwinnable, and only invites madness.

God of War: Fallen God #1 is on sale right now.

YouTuber Lance McDonald  has also managed to hack the camera in the PlayStation 4 God of War game, allowing him to pull back the curtain to see things that were never meant for our eyes.

In a Twitter thread he focuses on God of War’s first boss battle as Kratos goes blow for blow with “The Stranger” who we later find out is Baldur.

According to McDonald, he was able to hack the camera by entering a special button press while accessing the game’s map. In doing see, he gets a cinematic spectator’s view of the fight.

What’s particularly amusing about this clash between the two gods is how it ends. After defeating Baldur, a battered and bruised Kratos drops him into chasm. However, if we look closer, we can see that some cheeky God of War dev has animated Baldur so that he gives Kratos two middle fingers while falling.
