Yesterday, at UbiForward Ubisoft gave a gameplay overview of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla which showed different elements from raiding the coast to combat, and a brief look at the alliance map. Following UbiForward, Ubisoft then did a further deep dive of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and showed off 30 minutes of gameplay. This portion focused on a lot of different elements of what players can expect from the game and you can watch the footage below.
The footage starts off with an assault on a stronghold and this leads to a boss fight against the character Rued who fights alongside his pet wolf. Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla Quest Director, Philippe “Phyz” Bergeron states that killing the wolf will lead to Rued using other tactics to best Eivor in battle. After this the footage goes onto a new quest where Eivor is looking to recruit allies for a raid and then after you see the raid happen, along with the player making a choice. This is left behind for a while as open world exploration is delved into with a look at some of the activities including fishing, sailing the longships, flyting, environmental puzzles, meeting people in the world, chasing some paper, drinking contests, building cairns, getting involved with a mystic boss fight, seeing the consequence of your choice from earlier, and finally another boss fight.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla will be out on 17th November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia. It will also release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. For the home consoles, there are free cross-gen upgrades, with one way using Smart Delivery on Xbox.
