Overcooked! All You Can Eat remasters the games for PS5 & Xbox Series X

Team17 and Ghost Town Games are giving their culinary co-op series a fresh squirt of special sauce this year with Overcooked! All You Can Eat remastering Overcooked! and Overcooked! for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. A release is planned for later this year.

The remastered bundle promised 4K and 60 frames per second gameplay, as well as faster loading times (obviously), but also brings cross-play to the online multiplayer. Not only that, but all of the content from the original game has been rebuilt in the updated Overcooked! 2 engine which, among other things, enables them for online play for the first time.

All told, there will be over 200 levels to cook your way through, but there will also be seven new levels and three new chefs.

Helping newcomers to the game with be the new assist mode that will let you slow the timeouts on recipes, lengthen rounds, and just skip levels outright. To be more inclusive, new accessibility options add a scalable UI, dyslexic-friendly text, and colour blindness options. All of these things are great to see, when other titles like Moving Out have helped reduce the bar for entry quite significantly from the game that inspired them.

Max Everingham, Head of Publishing said, “Overcooked! continues to be an incredibly important series, one that millions of gamers have taken to their heart over the last few years – it’s a modern classic! For Overcooked! All You Can Eat, we wanted to make sure to deliver the definitive Overcooked! experience that brings every Overcooked! level online and looks and plays better than ever, so we hope so we hope players are ready to get back into the kitchen when the game launches later in the year.”

Overcooked! All You Can Eat will be out both physically and digitally for PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year.
