Monster Hunter Rise joins Ninjala today in an all-new crossover event

It’s Monster Hunter week again – every week should be Monster Hunter week to be fair – and after we’ve had a brand new update to Monster Hunter Rise with a host of new monsters, and an incredible new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2, it’s time for Ninjala X Monster Hunter Rise with an all-new crossover event coming to the ninja-focussed multiplayer battler today.

Starting now and running until the 26th of May, players can hop into Ninjala and grab a host of Monster Hunter-themed items to bring the two series together in emphatic style. Top of everybody’s list is likely to be the three new themed Avatar Costumes available in the Specialty Shop, which introduce all kinds of styles from Monster Hunter Rise.

Kamura Style is based on the Kamura Armor, and just like in Monster Hunter Rise itself it’s the perfect attire to start a new adventure. Rathalos Style is made up of Rathalos armour set pieces, and for long time fans, it remains just as iconic here as it has done before. It’s a lot easier to nab if you don’t have to farm any Rathalos drops. Aknosom Style is based on the brand new Aknosom Armor, and it’s one of my favourite new additions to the Monster Hunter canon. This metal suit might not keep you protected any more than other skins, but this ‘knight in shining armour’ also goes along nicely with Ninjala’s Season 5 fairy tales theme.

There’s also tie-ins for emotes, Gum Utsusemi, and more. The three new emotes let players cook up some monster meat with BBQ Success, but, just like in the game, it won’t always work with BBQ Fail. Weapon Sharpening helps players get battle-ready! Players will also be able to take the form of a Palico and Palamute with new Gum Utsusemi so you can unleash your animal instincts and sneak up on unsuspecting enemies.

Players can also grab a MHRise 2 IPPON decoration featuring a Palamute and a Palico, and a Monster Hunter Tee. By logging in during the collaboration event, all players will receive a MHRise Palico Sticker. They can also earn a MHRise 1 IPPON Decoration as a battle reward.
