Firesprite has announced an upgraded version of its sci-fi horror The Persistence. The Persistence Enhanced has been made for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC with a release date set for June 4th 2021. Those who already own the current version of The Persistence will get a free upgrade to the new generation version. The main addition to The Persistence Enhanced will include a Quality mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S that adds ray tracing. This version also has better lighting and particle effects. DXR implementation is enabled for PCs that have a graphics card which can support it.
“We’re really excited to debut The Persistence on next-generation hardware, bringing improvements that intensify the immersive stealth horror for both existing players and newcomers alike.” said Graeme Ankers, Managing Director at Firesprite. When the game was originally released for PSVR, Dom reviewed it and wrote:
