Carrier Command 2 and Regiments demos to be released next week

As part of Steam Next Fest, an event that runs from 16th to the 22nd of June, Microprose will be launching two demos, one each for Carrier Command 2 and Regiments.

The demo of Carrier Command 2 will be a stripped-down version of the game featuring four islands (the full game campaign has 64 islands) and multiplayer won’t be available. Difficulty scaling, logistics gameplay, enemy carriers, and some vehicle customizations and abilities will also not be available.

You can find Carrier Command 2 on Steam here, it has a release date of Summer 2021. Here’s more about the game:

Strategize: Gather intel from your vehicles’ radars, pick your tools of the trade, and launch your attacks where the enemy is weaker. The approach you take to a situation will play a big part in the outcome.

Plan: Once you have taken an island you will need to exploit and defend the resources it provides. Ensuring these supply lines remain open will be key to your survival. Think ahead.

Teamwork: Make the most of different unit synergies and create combined arms assaults to efficiently win battles. On top of that, get into each and every vehicle and take part in the action.

The second demo for Regiments will include 2 playable maps, 3 skirmish modes (Meeting Engagement, Attack, Mobile Defense) and four regiments, one for each faction (US, USSR and East & West Germanies), plus a tutorial.

You can find Regiments on Steam here, it has a release date of Summer 2021. Once again, here’s more about the game:

It’s 1989 and the flames of a New War are flaring up. Thousands of square miles of German landscape will become a stage for sweeping battles between the best NATO and Warsaw Pact has to offer.

Lead your Regiment through the inferno of a wide-scale Cold War conflict in this new Real-Time Tactics game. Break through the lines, call in artillery and air support, maneuver, feign retreats, and stage mobile defenses. Do not relent.

The Platoon Command system lets you orchestrate battles with unprecedented precision and ease. No need to micromanage every infantryman – you’re a Commanding Officer, not a sergeant.

Form your force on the fly. Selecting the main Regiment is just a start. You can expand your army during the game by calling in unique Task Forces, each bringing its own equipment and off-map support options.
